Information Technology

The Information Technology (IT) Team is in charge of the operation and development of the IT infrastructure of the Max Planck Institute for Biology Tübingen, Friedrich Miescher Laboratory and the Max Planck House. To enable our researchers to concentrate on their work, the team works behind the scenes to keep the IT and communications network functioning smoothly. They address software and hardware issues when they arise and guarantee IT security. The group manages more than 650 computers which are connected to a wired or wireless network also maintained by the IT team.
